Artistic Style and Career
Early Life and Education: An avid painter since childhood, Paprocki studied both Business and Fine Art at Loyola University in Chicago. Following his graduation, he augmented his formal studies with extensive travels through Europe, where he painted and studied the works of the Impressionist masters in major museums.
Plein Air Painting: He is a dedicated plein air artist, meaning he often paints on location to capture the direct effects of light and color. His work is known for its energetic brushstrokes and vibrant palette.
Notable Subjects: Paprocki's most famous subjects include scenic locales in Europe, such as the streets of Paris and the coast of Ireland, as well as American cities like New York and Chicago. He is also known for his tender paintings of children at play on the beach, which he often completes in his studio using numerous photographs.
Recognition: His works have received critical acclaim and are featured in more than 1,000 public, private, and corporate collections in over a dozen countries, including The White House and U.S. Embassies. In 2013, the University of Notre Dame commissioned him to create four monumental murals for their permanent collection.
