बहुत अच्छा  सा लगता था 

aur is duniya ka har chehra
और इस दुनिया का हर चेहरा

बहुत सच्चा सा लगता था

Suna tha kuch socha tha kuch ,
kuch aur hi lekin mila.
yu hi laut-te huye 
aaj raaste mein main zindagi se mila.

kuch shokh si, chalak si
batooni si, bebak si
masoom si, nadaan si,
har dil ki jaise jaan si,
bholi si wo, natkhat si kuch,
sachchi si wo, nish-kapat si kuch,
nish-paap si, chanchal si wo,
zinda si ab lagti  nahi.

haan hua karti thi jaise wo pehle,
ab wo waisi thi nahi!!
badali si kuch lagti thi ab,
apni si kahaan dikhti thi ab?

kuch khoyi khoyi, gumsum si thi.
khamosh, wo chup chup si thi
jahaan bhar se anjaan bhi,
jahaan bhar se pareshan bhi,
sabse milkar bhi akeli si,
khud hi mein  uljhi paheli si,
thaki si kuch, ruki si kuch,
ek bojh se jhuki si kuch.
jahaan bhar se muh modey huye,
aas jivan tak ki thi chore huye.
ke ek shor si wo chulbuli,
shamshan si aaj mook thi.
pareshaan hoon 
hairaan hoon 
meri zindagi kahaan kho gayi....

Jis lifafe pe 'yaadein' likha tha..
जिस लिफ़ाफ़े पे 'यादें' लिखा था 
wo kahin rakhkar bhool gaya hoon.
वो कहीं रखकर भूल गया हूँ 
aaj phir wohi lifafa dhoond raha tha..
आज फिर वही लिफाफा ढूँढ रहा था 
kuch aur band lifafe mile..
कुछ और बंद लिफाफे मिले 
ek pe masoomiyat ki mohar lagi thi 
एक पे मासूमियत की मोहर लगी थी 
ek par khushi ka pata likha tha..
एक पर ख़ुशी का पता लिखा था 
khali lifafe the kuch, ek mere bhi naam likha tha..
खाली लिफाफे थे कुछ ,एक मेरे भी नाम लिखा था
