City paintings by Evgeny Lushpin

Evgeny Lushpin is a Russian contemporary artist born in Moscow in 1966. He studied at the MGPU and Moscow State University of Arts and is a permanent member of international art fairs in Russia, the U.S., and Norway.

His style is known as "Romantic Realism" and is heavily influenced by the Russian Realism School and Western European painters like Andrew Wyeth and Edward Hopper. His work is characterized by its photorealistic detail, often mistaken for large-format photographs. He has a unique talent for capturing the interplay of light and dark, as seen in his cityscapes, which are a prominent subject in his art. Lushpin's paintings often feature intricate details of urban life, from quiet neighborhoods to bustling city streets, and his work is held in private collections worldwide.
